Hope for Hearts
Hope for Hearts is our mentoring ministry here at Calvary Chapel Gloucester County. Begun in the spring of 2017, it is our hope that we can walk beside those passing through the storms of life and point them to a hope that never fails – hope in Jesus Christ.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please fill out this application. For more information about the ministry, please contact Michele Jones at HopeForHearts@cc-gc.org.
Prayer is God’s gift to the believer. It is the vehicle that allows the believer to communicate with the Lord. Prayer is a way we get to experience God’s power and His faithfulness in keeping His promises. (John 14:12-14) In His word, God implores us to pray and even teaches us how to pray (Matthew 6:9-13). At Calvary Fellowship, we desire to make prayer a foundational part of our church. It is out of this desire that we established the Prayer Ministry.
The Prayer Ministry meets every week to pray for our families, our church and communities. We will intercede for others and lift all prayer requests up. The team wants to reach God’s heart each and every week on behalf of individuals. The Prayer Ministry consists of people filled with faith and the belief that God will do what He says He will do.
Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. [Jeremiah 33:3]
Calvary puts emphasis on vertical worship. It’s a time to glorify and sing praises to God through music and song. If you are called to the ministry of worship through music and are skilled on your instrument or voice, we encourage you to email David Schliep via the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org
Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you enjoy some of the technical, behind-the- scenes aspects of the worship services? Each week our audio visual team uses some of the latest technology to enhance sound, manage recording, computer graphics and more.
We are always seeking those techies out there who are passionate about this type of work and would like to share their gift. Training is offered to all ministry members.
Ushers & Greeters
Our purpose for serving as ushers and greeters is to provide a welcoming atmosphere, a friendly smile with a handshake and to be a source of direction to our congregation and visitors. We additionally assist in other elements of our Sunday services such as collecting offerings and distributing communion.
If you would like to become an usher or greeter, please contact email@example.com.
At Calvary, we realize that often your first interaction with a church is before you ever step foot into the doors. Our parking lot attendants are the “first face” of Calvary that you’ll get to see. From helping with handicap parking, escorting our Calvary Kids safely to and from buildings, to making sure you don’t get soaked in the unpredictable rain storm, our parking lot attendants do a fantastic job of reflecting Christ’s love.
If you think you have what it takes to be the welcoming face or the helping hand to guests, visitors, and regulars each week, see Dan Kirby… when he’s not dodging cars that is!
