The Lord has blessed us with ministries that the Lord is leading in our lives. As I often sit back and reflect, I see the many times where God was always in the center pouring His sovereign hand in the midst of it all.
God showed me the most important ministry that He blessed me with. And that is the three children He gave us. They are ultimately my first ministry. My vision gets blurry along the way but, I know wholeheartedly God trusted me with His children to raise up for His glory.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he shall not depart from it.”
For me, this ministry is the hardest ministry I have ever faced and am walking in. Through the chaos, emotions, feelings, discouragement, lack of – I find myself drowning at times.
When I feel I am constantly repeating myself He shows me they are listening, and He is so faithful to encourage me. His words are not going void but are prospering.
1 Corinthians 3:6-7“ I planted, Apollo’s watered but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.”
It is a daily reminder that God is the one who grows that seed, and it is my job to water it. Often, it’s discouraging and sometimes feels impossible. But that’s when my mind is thinking that it has anything to do with me and my own way of raising His children. I need to constantly fix my eyes and ears to Him as He is so faithful to tell me and show me what’s necessary for them.
God is so sovereign He knows just what we need when we need it. As I turn my eyes to look to Him for His wisdom and counsel He never fails. He loves these children more than I do so why wouldn’t I want to turn to Him?
